They were introduced as Couperville, but not even that could slow them down.
Proving that a small school can hold its own with the big boys, Coupeville High School bounced University Prep, Bush, Bishop Blanchet, Bellingham and Bellevue Saturday at the final Science Olympiad meet of the season.
The Wolves, led by four-year varsity member Sam Landau, finished 8th, just 19 points behind champion Sehome.
“Not bad for Island hicks!,” joked coach Dan d’Almeida.
