In our second installment, we feature the stars of today.

A mix of booters from the three Island high schools — Coupeville, Oak Harbor and South Whidbey — many of them claim allegiance to last year’s GU17 Whidbey Islanders soccer squad and were recently tabbed to form this year’s GU18 version of the same team.

Saturday they mixed it up in a 3-on-3 tournament. In the days and weeks ahead, they will mix it up in a variety of uniforms, but one thing remains consistent — they will kick you to the curb if you dare to face them on the pitch.
