The Bow Down hat lives on forever.
Even as the man who wore it prepares to graduate Friday, the legacy of the shaman has been preserved.
Danny Savalza, who led the Coupeville High School student cheering section clad in his unwashed thrift store dress and giant hat, passed on the responsibilities of his post to senior-to-be Jake Tumblin at the senior awards ceremony Thursday.
Now it will be up to Tumblin to fill the king-sized shoes of the master. May he wear the crown well.
