I vote yes.

I think Saturday, which will be Day 100 in Penn Cove, should be honored as National Let’s Give David Free Cake (or pie, or cookies, or cupcakes — cupcakes are nice) Day.

That’s 100 days in a swimsuit and hiking boots, cause wet suits are for fancy lads, and I’m not prancing around on a sailing yacht right now.

It’ll be 68 days after that to break my 2011 record, at which point we can, and should, discuss further baked goods.

For now, I’ll be easy to find that day, as I work the dinner shift at Christopher’s on Whidbey starting at 5 PM.

If you’re curious, that’s located at 103 NW Coveland, and complimentary celebration goodies can be delivered at any time.

It’s the right thing to do.
