A Coupeville landmark that sat empty for a decade before a surprise revitalization may be going dark again.
Ebey Bowl owners Matt Iverson and Mimi Johnson, the brother/sister combo who resurrected the alley three years ago, announced on Facebook Thursday night that they were closing the business. They also own Iverson Insurance in Oak Harbor.
The statement they released:
Dear Friends,
After much consideration and sleepless nights, Matt and I have decided to close Ebey Bowl.
It’s been a great almost three years (hey, we made Sunset Magazine) and we are so thankful for how wonderful our little community has been.
However, we have realized that we need to focus our attention on our other business and our families.
Our final day will be September 8th – we ask that you please use your gift certificates between now and then.
For those that have scheduled private parties after September 8th, we are honoring them. Your date is still scheduled and we will be contacting you to finalize all details.
We want to thank our amazing staff – you all have been great!
Thanks again Coupeville for all your support!
