That’s the goal for this year’s Central Whidbey Little League All-Stars, as they follow in the proud tradition of the 2010 state champs headlined by Norris, Ben Etzell, Korbin Korzan and most of the current Coupeville High School baseball stars.

They may not win a title (but, hey, why not?), but they do get to play on, shagging fly balls and dreaming big.

Whether it be baseball or softball sluggers, Central Whidbey’s rising stars are developing a love for the long ball.

Toss in a deep commitment to other, equally-important, if slightly less-exciting facets of the game such as defense and smartly calling a game from behind the plate, and you have the basis for long-term success.
