25 girls and 1 photo. How to choose? It’s simple. Happy birthday, McKayla Bailey!
Sophomores ruled the first day of basketball practice.
At least in terms of total numbers, as nine of the 25 girls who signed up to play for Coupeville High School coaches David and Amy King hail from that class. Hot on their heels were the freshmen, boasting seven players, and the seniors, who claim six. Bringing up the rear — the class of 2014, which added just three girls to the mix.
In the interest of making a lot of moms (and grandmas) happy, we present a nice, concise list of every girl who pledged their love for hoops (at least for now).
Will all of them make it through the first days of practice and stay true to their school for the entire season? That’s a story for another day. Today, we celebrate them for stepping up in the first place.
