Doctors have cleared him and Dalton Martin is coming back.
The Coupeville High School freshman, who was sidelined during the football season by repeat concussions that have likely ended his gridiron days, was sidelined from playing basketball until he got medical clearance.
That came Friday after a visit to his doctor at Seattle Children’s Hospital.
“I have a very happy boy,” said mom Abbie Martin.
In an earlier interview, Dalton Martin talked about his desire to make it back to action. While football will always remain his first love, he has high hopes for his time on the hard court, as well.
“My dad showed me some very good moves that I have been working on lately,” he said. “I can’t wait to use them against other people.”
Now, he’ll get that chance.
