I know. I know.
He’s a South Whidbey Falcon, and normally all you can feel is sympathy that they have to wear that ugly shade of blue they claim as one of their school colors.
But this Bishop fellow. He seems like a pretty good guy.
Cause, if nothing else, I know he’s reading me. Or has read me from time to time.
In a recent South Whidbey Record story about the seniors on the Falcon boys’ basketball team, Bishop responds to one of the questions by saying: “I’m really proud of the team for sticking with it and working until the end. That Coupeville game was great, and it’s always nice to put Coupeville and their blogs in their place.”
Ooh. Rib shot. I’m gonna feel that one for days.
Well played, Mr. Bishop. Well played.
And just think, if you went to Coupeville High School, what with you being a decent athlete and a good guy, you might see your name here a lot.
You know, it would be nice if someone did what I was doing on the South End.
But they don’t.
Cause, in the end, no one really cares about South Whidbey sports, do they?
Ooh. Rib shot right back, with much respect.

you just picked on a kid. thats messed up. south whidbey, central, or north, i think we can agree
How am I picking on Mr. Bishop?
Read the quote — “He seems like a pretty good guy.” I appreciate he reads, or has read, the blog.
There’s a positive article on him working with his brother’s Special Olympics team already on the site.
How am I picking on him? Please elaborate.
Mr. Svien, lets not play games. the truth is out
Ah yes, the truth. The truth that punctuation and capitalization have died a horrible death down South.
Those who can do, those who can’t blog. I guess that’s why we southenders, do.
Do what exactly? Use commas in the wrong place?
My apologies for missing a comma there and probably a period, writing isn’t my specialty.
It’s a common phrase, modified for this situation. I heard it originally from a 4 time state wrestling champion – “Those who can, do. Those who can’t, teach.”
http://southwhidbeysportsblog.wordpress.com/ yeah, we do care
I’m so proud of you. It’s like I’ve given birth to my heir … who can’t always spell or use punctuation correctly or knows the difference between irrational (correct) and unrational (nope).
Well, it’s a start.
Though it is kind of hard to take you seriously when you’re too scared to put your real name on anything you do.
But, baby steps, I guess.
What’s in a name? Does it make my words any more or less valid? Some of the greatest writers used pseudo names – would you consider their works not serious? Most actors/actresses/singers don’t use their real names – is their work irrelevant?
It’s true, I would take you far more seriously if you put your name on your comments, Linda, and stood behind your thoughts. But that’s your choice.
It’s very easy to hide behind anonymity on the internet, and it’s generally not for positive reasons. Perhaps your case is different. I don’t know your situation, and I’m not printing your last name out of respect for that.
There are 699 articles on this site. All of them carry my byline and it’s my real name. If you like them, you know who I am. If you hate them, you know who I am.
It’s obvious my jabs at South Whidbey offend you. I respect that. I would respect it more if you used your real name when you called me on the carpet.
But again, your choice.
your picture with a banana. nuff said
There are plenty more where that came from.
this blog has gone too far. what you post isn’t even funny
Well, that’s good, since it’s not a humor blog.
