It was a busy weekend for the Aarons.
Mr. Trumbull and Mr. Curtin bounced from a three-hour, 10-inning, come-from-behind baseball win in epically bad weather Saturday to being back on the basketball court Sunday.
Kicking off the spring season of SWISH basketball in Mt. Vernon with teammates from Coupeville High School, the duo, along with four other Wolves, surged late but were unable to overcome Mt. Baker. The 57-41 loss was a good stepping stone, as more players are expected to join in the coming games.
Opening day saw junior Anthony Bergeron, sophomore Joel Walstad and freshmen Wiley Hesselgrave and Dalton Martin join Trumbull and Curtin, who are sophomores. Former Wolf hoops star Scott Stuurmans is coaching the squad.
