Former Coupeville High School basketball guru Jackie Bykonen is moving up in the hoops world.
The former Wolf coach, who led the CHS girls’ b-ball squad for two seasons, has landed a job as an assistant coach at Meadowdale. She’ll also teach PE at the school.
The Lynnwood-based school is a 3A program, with the Mavericks playing in the South Division of Wesco. They placed 6th in the state as recently as 2009.
“I’m excited for the opportunity,” Bykonen said.
