Ebey Bowl lives.
The rumors and promises morphed into reality Friday with an official announcement that the business would reopen Wednesday, Oct. 16.
The bowling alley/diner, which sits nestled right around the corner from Coupeville High School, closed last month after a three-year run when owners Mimi Johnson and Matt Iverson decided they would have to focus their time on their insurance business and families.
Prior to the rebirth, Ebey Bowl had sat empty for more than a decade.
Now the brother/sister combo have found a new partner, Traci Turner-Wisdom, who will work the alley, and the sounds of balls crashing into pins will once again echo across the prairie.
“Traci brings a wealth of knowledge in the kitchen, in restaurant management, and bowling,” Johnson said in a statement. “We are excited to have her as part of our team.
“The menu is being revamped (don’t worry, our burgers are untouched), we will be starting our fun leagues again and will be offering more party options,” she added. “Great changes are in our future!”
