It was the end of one brilliant career and the start of another one Thursday night.
Coupeville High School cheer coach Sylvia Arnold bid farewell to the program she had led for 20 seasons, while frosh Kiara Mercedes became the first ninth-grader to ever be voted the Wolf Award by her teammates.
Other award winners included senior Shelby Hall (Most Improved) and juniors Destiny Bitting (Coach’s Award), Amanda Foley (Most Improved), Ciera St Onge (Coach’s Award) and Camilla Rische (Spirit Award).
