Want to be the next great soccer star in Coupeville?

If so, it’s time to kick-start your parents into signing you up for Central Whidbey Soccer Club’s spring season.

Registration, which just opened, closes Mar. 22.

First practices are Mar. 25, with games beginning Apr. 13.

The club offers teams at five age levels – U6, U8, U10, U12, and U15.

Frost on the ground? Must be time to start thinking about Little League.

Seriously, though, while it might feel like we’re still in the middle of winter, there is a hint of spring in the air, at least on the internet.

Registration for Central Whidbey Little League baseball and softball kicks off Tuesday, Jan. 15 and you can get your little sluggers signed up without having to leave your house.

Also, if you’ve ever thought about wanting to return to the field yourself, CWLL is looking for people interested in coaching T-Ball, Minors baseball and Rookie baseball.

It’s never too early to think about spring, apparently.

It may be damp and chilly outside on Whidbey, but you can already hear the crack of baseball and softball bats far off in the distance.

Central Whidbey Little League has kicked off registration for a new season, and, if you jump in now, you can get an early bird discount.

Don’t throw away your shot (at scoring a lot of goals).

Registration for Central Whidbey Soccer Club’s fall rec season is underway and the clock is ticking.

Girls, boys and co-ed teams are offered, with openings from U8 to U15.

Registration ends Sept. 8, with games starting Sept. 16.

Cost is $75 per player, which includes uniform. The league also offers practice squad participation for $30 for those who can’t play in Saturday games.

Scholarships are available for those who can show a need for financial assistance.

To sign up your child, pop over to the league website and use the green Register button on the top right.

Registration for the spring Central Whidbey Little League baseball and softball seasons is underway, and, if you get your children signed up in the next six days, you’ll save a few bucks.

Registration runs through Mar. 31 (the season is Apr. 1-June. 1), but you get $10 off if you sign up by Jan. 31.

So, it’s a good thing I kept this story short. Just a little time to read it and a lot of time to go grab your discount.
