Gabriella Gebhard, ruling the dog show world.

Gabriella Gebhard is gearing up for the big dance.

The Coupeville High School junior will be at the Westminster Dog Show May 13-14, her second appearance at the pinnacle of the dog showing world.

As she preps for the premier event, Gebhard has continued to pile up victories in the world of juniors.

In fact, she’s just one win shy of netting her 10th win and qualifying for the senior master’s class.

Also, Gebhard achieved a new distinction recently, guiding her first “bred by” dog to multiple awards.

Everest, or Set’r Ridge’s Climbing to the Top, as is his official AKC name, was whelped 2.5 years ago.

Gebhard, who helped bring her canine companion into the world, also grooms, trains, and shows him, and the duo competed last weekend in Cashmere.

While there, they brought home Best Junior Handler and multiple Best of Breed honors.

“Can’t wait to see what my “not so baby boy anymore” and me can accomplish next,” Gebhard said. “So proud of my blue boy.”

She’s kicking off 2024 with a bang.

Coupeville High School standout Gabriella Gebhard is posting some of the best stats of her already-stellar dog show career.

She’s currently #1 in the entire country in her age group for English Setters, while sitting #2 in Sporting Junior and All-Breed Junior dog handlers.

Gebhard is also celebrating the official arrival of her invitation to return to the Westminster Dog Show.

The top event in the United States, it goes down May 13-14 in New York.

It’s official.

For now, Gebhard and her prime pooch, Walker (Set’r Ridge’s Legend in the Making), continue to rack up awards and work the circuit.

“So, so proud of what me and Walker have accomplished with only being out at two shows this year so far!” she said.

“Love my best boy!”

Next up for the duo is an appearance at a show in Albany the last weekend in February.

They’re on a tear.

Coupeville High School sophomore Gabriella Gebhard and her trusty canine companion, Walker – Set’r Ridge’s Legend in the Making, are picking up wins at every stop on the dog show circuit.

The duo, who hit the big time earlier this spring at the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show — the premier pooch event in the USA — captured their eighth Best Junior award last weekend in Coer d’Alene, Idaho.

Striking that judge-pleasing pose.

That makes it four straight victories and counting for Gebhard, who sits two wins away from making the jump from Open Senior to Master Class.

Oh, and she’s already booked a return trip to Westminster for 2024, as win #7 of the season clinched that.

Smoochie-boochies for a good boy.

Coupeville took a sizable bite out of the Big Apple.

CHS sophomore Gabriella Gebhard and her English setter, Walker – Set’r Ridge’s Legend in the Making, competed Tuesday at the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show.

The duo competed for the Junior Showmanship title and landed in the top half of the 89 competitors.

Luke Waters of Indiana, showing a Wire Fox Terrier known as Claypools Make Your Mark, claimed top honors.

Westminster, now in its 147th year, is the premier dog show in America, and you have to earn your ticket to compete.

For Gebhard and her rivals, that meant earning Best Junior Handler status in “a minimum of two competing classes at seven or more AKC dog shows in the previous year.”

Getting limbered up for their big-city debut.

Gebhard, who was making her debut appearance at Westminster, is well on her way to qualifying for a repeat trip in 2024.

In Junior Showmanship, judges evaluate the handler on “how they present their dog and how they enhance their dog’s qualities.”

They need to “be able to demonstrate to the judge knowledge of their breed and appropriate ways to present the dog,” with judges looking at “control of the dog, presentation of the dog, and teamwork between the junior and their dog.”

Gebhard and Walker aim for that perfect angle.

While Gabriella was aiming for the crown, showing strongly in her big-time debut is a huge positive.

“The judge looked at her and Walker until the very end,” mom Stephanie Gebhard said. “Impressive on her first try.”

Congrats to a top-notch doggo.

One month until the show of shows.

Coupeville High School sophomore Gabriella Gebhard treks to New York in early May, accompanied by her faithful pooch companion, Walker (Set’r Ridge’s Legend in the Making).

Their destination is the 147th Annual Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show, the premier event on the yearly calendar.

Gebhard and Walker are scheduled to show May 9.

“Who’s a champion? You are!”

The duo, who have also qualified for the AKC National Championship presented by Royal Canin, are two wins from qualifying for next year’s Westminster show as well.

Gebhard recently picked up her fifth Best Junior award of the year at the Peninsula Fanciers Club Dog Show in Bremerton and has until late September to notch wins #6 and #7.

When she’s not showing, the Coupeville ace is gathering experience by working for Andy Linton, a Westminster Best in Show winner who is one of the country’s top handlers.

Gebhard prepares and grooms Linton’s dogs before he shows them.
