One day after their head coach resigned — just four games into his tenure — the Archbishop Thomas Murphy football program is now embroiled in deeper doo-doo.
Tuesday, Bill Marsh stepped down after back-to-back epic losses to King’s and Lakewood left ATM at a never-before-seen 2-2.
Tonight, the Everett Herald is reporting that Michael Allison, the assistant coach who was named to replace Marsh, surrendered his teaching license in Oregon after an investigation into alleged inappropriate conduct with a female high school student.
Allison never faced criminal charges and ATM officials say they knew of his past before hiring him as an assistant. Parents of Wildcat players, though, say they were never informed of Allison’s past.
The Herald article states that Allison has never applied for a teaching certificate in the state of Washington. That’s not a requirement to teach at a private school like ATM.
