And then there were two.
Junior Brian Norris and freshman Sebastian Davis won matches against teammates Wednesday to claim Coupeville High School’s two singles slots for the district tournament.
They will face off Thursday on their home court for seeding and bragging purposes, and then will join the doubles duos of Nathan Lamb/Aaron Curtin and Ben Etzell/Ben Wehrman Saturday, Oct. 13 in Langley for the tourney.
Districts, which was originally scheduled for Saturday in Friday Harbor, then moved to Langley, then shifted to Thursday, is now back on the weekend. For the moment, at least. Who knows what tomorrow will bring?
The Wolf six-pack will face off against players from South Whidbey, Friday Harbor, Lummi Island and Meridian.
