I don’t know if you know this, but it’s national Sophie Sandahl Day.
It’s true.
The Wolf freshman, a recent transplant to The Rock, hits the big 1-5 today and people are going bonkers.
To celebrate, Sandahl and her teammates on the Coupeville High School girls’ soccer squad will be hosting the defending 1A state champs today.
The game pits the Wolves (1-0 in Olympic League play, 3-4-3 overall) against Klahowya (1-0, 7-3-1), kickoff is 11 AM at Mickey Clark Field, and the stands are waiting to be crammed for this battle for sole possession of first place.
Your attendance is mandatory, especially since it lands on the birthday of a former South Carolina belle like Sandahl.
In her short time here, Sophie has sparkled with a quiet charm, while making big strides on the soccer pitch.
Let her know how much Wolf Nation appreciates her entry into our world.
Cram the stands. Support the booters as they go for the upset of the year.
And, most importantly, on your way in or out, or all game long, make sure #19 feels the cake day love.
Happy birthday, Sophie!
