She’s off to Japan.
New military duty for her husband will take Coupeville High School girls’ soccer coach Jasmine Ader out of the country.
The pitch guru, who has led the Wolves the past two seasons, has tendered her resignation.
She leaves the program in a good place, having taken the lead on bringing girls soccer back from exile in her time at the school.
When Ader arrived, the CHS girls pitch program had been shut down for two seasons due to a lack of players, with a handful of players joining the Wolf boy’s roster.
In her first season as head coach, Coupeville relaunched with just one senior, Frankie Tenore, and a strong pack of 8th and 9th graders.
The Wolves went 4-7-1 with eight players scoring, then doubled that this season, getting goals from all 16 players on the roster during a 7-5-3 season in which they were in the fight for a playoff spot until the final week.
All 16 of those players can return next season, as this year’s squad has no 12th graders.
