You have an extra cookie? Forget Canada, THIS is where you take it. (John Fisken photo)

Oh sweet lord, is this what it’s come to? Writing about Homecoming dresses because I’ve been bribed with the promise of baked goods?

I am a weak, weak man…

But I do hold up my end of the bargain, so let’s talk ’bout some dresses!

The clothing in question is being offered free to local girls ages 13-18 and is provided by Soroptimist International of Coupeville.

My Fairy Godmother is a dress loaning program that is providing dresses, shoes, and accessories to girls in need during events such as this weekend’s CHS Homecoming.

The program is also available for Tolo, Prom, middle school dances and non-school events such as weddings.

Donations of cleaned, well-loved dresses, shoes and accessories is greatly appreciated.

Girls and/or their parents interested in being hooked up for Homecoming should call Amy Briscoe at (360) 929-7829 to make arrangements.
