New challenges, new triumphs

A former Wolf has found her groove as a Wildcat.

Riley White, an eternal ball of energy, transferred from Coupeville High School to my alma mater – Oak Harbor – for the last trimester last year.

This time around, now that her body has accepted purple and gold being used on uniforms, she’s picked up several sports not offered at her former school.

White, previously a standout ballet dancer, swam in the fall — making it to state as an alternate for a relay team — and is now wrestling as winter kicks off.

She also has earned a slot on the Wildcat ROTC marksmanship team.

Return (revenge?) of the parade pics!

Never too late for parade pics.

Homecoming was a week ago, but a new batch of photos from Coupeville High School’s parade have just surfaced.

And we here at Coupeville Sports are all about raking in page hits for displaying glossy images.

So jump back in time seven days with me.

PS — I’m well aware the first photo is from the game itself, and not the parade.

PPS — Don’t worry about it, the other seven are, so that’s 87.5% parade pics in a story about parade pics. It’ll do.
