He’s a man of multiple talents.

Coming off a productive basketball season with the Wolf JV, Coupeville High School sophomore Sage Arends is back on the taekwondo mats, collecting medals wherever he goes.

Saturday, the Wolf ace was busy at a regional tournament, where he collected a second-place finish in sparring and a third in Poomsae.

All your medals are ours!

When the Helm women come to town, all your medals are leaving with them.

Plundering most of the gold in Salem, Oregon Saturday, Lindsey and Finley Helm scored big at the Northwest District Taekwondo Championships.

Lindsey, a teacher at Coupeville Elementary, laid down a whuppin’, claiming titles in five of six events.

The mother of three earned first in weapons, sparring, creative weapons, combat sparring, and extreme weapons, plus a second in traditional forms.

Meanwhile daughter Finley, coming off a successful track and field season at Coupeville Middle School, earned third place in combat sparring.

The Northwest District consists of Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and the four lower provinces of Canada.
