He didn’t know it at the time, but CMS football coach Bob Martin (left) would soon have a second reason to celebrate — his team getting a home game. For the moment, he had to console himself, and driver Mark Hammer, with the promise of a brew or two at the Coupeville Booster Club golf tourney.

After drawing a schedule that had them playing every single game this season on the road, the Coupeville Middle School football team has finally broken through and locked in at least one home game.
The future stars of Friday Night Lights action will welcome Langley to town Thursday, Oct. 11 for a game slated to kick-off at 3 p.m.
Mark your calendars! Plan to call in sick that day, if necessary, and pack the stands!! Cause is there anything sweeter than watching a Coupeville team whip the stuffing out of a squad from South Whidbey?
