Who is “The Face of the Future?”
Two weeks ago, we honored the second annual coupevillesports.com Athlete Supreme, who turned out to be recently graduated CHS senior Amanda Fabrizi.
As the 2013-2014 champ, she followed in the footsteps of our first winner, Nick Streubel, and will hold the title until next spring.
But sports are an ever-moving machine, and, as we head through June, it’s time to look to the future.
Over the next 48 hours, you, the reader, have the chance to pick the new face of this blog.
Below, you’ll find 33 athletes.
Why 33? Cause that’s Larry Bird’s number and he’s the best big-moment athlete in the history of sports. Go look it up on yer Wikipedia…
Anyway, these 33 (which I selected on my own after much screaming, a little bribing and at least three punches thrown at myself … by myself) are vying to take over the banner photo that goes across the top of this here blog.
It was a brutal process, and there are probably another 10 athletes who could easily be on this list. Next time.
Aaron Trumbull and Carson Risner, who would on the ballot, were disqualified because they held down the banner photo for the first year and a half of the blog, and this is about giving others a shot at “glory.”
The winner will take up residence Tuesday night and will hold the post until at least Jan. 1. Guaranteed.
The rules are simple: there are none!!
The poll is wide open. You can, and should, vote as often as you want. The poll closes at 3 PM Pacific Daylight Time, Tuesday, June 24.
