One game, 80 minutes, all the stakes.

The district bracket:
Win and the Wolf booters go to the big dance for the first time ever in the 2B/1B classification, and their third time overall.
The eight-team 2B/1B state tournament runs November 13-21 at various locations.
Thursday’s game pits a CHS squad sitting at 9-6-1 against an Auburn team carrying a 10-4 record.
The Wolves opened the District 1/2/3/4 tourney by beating Puget Sound Adventist Academy 2-0 before falling 3-1 to two-time defending state champ Orcas Island.
Auburn lost to Providence Classical Christian 5-0 Tuesday in its postseason opener.
The Falcons play in the Sea-Tac League, which has two 2B schools and four 1B schools involved in boys’ soccer.
They went 8-2 in conference action, losing twice to league champ Evergreen Lutheran.
That was heavily weighted to the early going, however, as Auburn has dropped three of its last four games while being outscored 15-7.
Both Coupeville and Auburn seek their third trip to the state tourney, with CHS advancing as a 1A school in 2009 and 2010, while AAA made the trip to the big dance as a 2B school in 2022 and 2023.
Neither school has won a state soccer game yet, going one and done each time.
And finally, one freaky little nugget of info.
While Auburn has played 14 games and Coupeville has claimed the pitch 16 times this season, both teams have the EXACT SAME SCORING MARGIN.
Yep, it’s true, as the Falcons and Wolves have each outscored their rivals 47-20.
The universe operates in mysterious ways…
