Show your support, snag some pizza.

The Coupeville Booster Club is holding its annual membership meeting this Thursday, May 18 — the 43rd anniversary of Mt. St. Helen’s blowing its top — at 6:00 PM in the CHS commons.

Free pizza and drinks will be provided, with the focus on informing folks of what the club does, while offering newcomers a chance to join the organization.

The booster club provides financial support to Coupeville’s middle and high school sports programs, through things such as equipment purchases, scholarships, and athlete appreciation festivities.

Six $1,000 scholarships are annually awarded to graduating CHS senior athletes, while current athletes are helped with sports fees, roses for Senior Night events, and varsity letters.

The club has also aided the school’s athletic department with purchases including weight room equipment, a portable race clock for track and field, scoreboards, batting cages, and the painting of the high school gym.

The Wall of Fame in the CHS gym, which highlights league, district, and state accomplishments for Wolf teams dating back decades, became a reality thanks to a financial donation from the club.

The boosters are always looking for a few good volunteers to help the cause, and you can have your choice of committees coordinating action on the Penn Cove Mussel Festival, the club’s crab feed fundraiser, and the Coupeville Arts and Crafts Festival, among others.

Or help out with doling out varsity letters, getting spiffy new duds for Wolf coaches, doing PR through Facebook and Instagram, or a billion other things.

All in the service of “providing additional opportunities for our athletes that wouldn’t exist otherwise.”

If you have questions before the meeting, reach out to the club at coupevillebc@gmail.com.

The Coupeville Booster Club has launched its membership drive and would love to hear from you.

By signing on the dotted line — and there are multiple levels of commitment you can choose from — you’ll join an organization made up of parents, staff, alumni, friends, and businesses.

The booster club provides financial and emotional assistance to athletic programs at the high school, middle school, and in the community.

From purchasing supplies and equipment, to awarding scholarships, to volunteering at events, members have a huge positive impact on Wolf athletes, while raising school spirit.

With CHS hosting its Homecoming celebration today — parade at 3:00 PM, football game at 6:00 — it’s the perfect time to provide another link in the chain with your support.

Ask not what Wolf Nation can do for you; ask what you can do for Wolf Nation.

A new school year approaches, and that means the Coupeville Booster Club is back in business and looking to add to its roster of volunteers.

The club hosts its first public meeting Thursday, Sept. 1 at 6 PM and everyone is invited.

The meeting is set for the health room in the entrance to the Coupeville High School gym — first door on your left as you step through the front door.

You can attend one meeting and never be seen again or jump in and join the movement.

Either way, attending the first get-together is a great way to get a feel for what the group does.

From supplying athletic letters, to making sure athletes have snacks on road trips, to helping CHS coaches purchase new equipment, to maintaining the Wall of Fame in the gym, the booster club is the motor which drives Wolf Nation.

Remember – if you don’t show up, no complaining afterwards.

All three meetings will be in the health room at the CHS gym, which is the first door on your left as you step through the doorway.

Tip-off for each is 6 PM, the meetings go down on Thursdays, and masks are required on school grounds.
