Taichen Rose, moments before she disappeared under a wave of humanity.

As CHS athletic stars Allison Wenzel and Taichen Rose let loose with their air horns Saturday morning, a great wave of humanity crashed down on Coupeville Elementary School.

The event?

The 37th annual Coupeville Lions Garage Sale, where bargains stretch out as far as the eye can see, and you just need to be quick (and sharp-elbowed) to get to that elusive trash-turned-treasure first.

Bargains, bargains as far as the eye can see.

Tomorrow is D-Day.

The Coupeville Lions 37th annual garage sale extravaganza takes over S. Main St. this weekend.

The sale, which is the biggest fundraiser for the organization, is built on year-round donations.

Doors open Saturday from 9 AM-4 PM, then day two unfolds Sunday 9-1.

The photos above, which showcase just a bit of the massive amount of goodies waiting to be plundered, come to us courtesy wanderin’ photo man John Fisken.
