The photos keep droppin’ and poppin’.

During the slowdown created by the COVID-19 pandemic, I’ve taken some time to wander back through some of the 20 billion pics which have graced Coupeville Sports.

14 days down. Two days to go.

The never-ending gap between basketball games known as Christmas/Winter/No Hoops Break is about to end for Coupeville High School.

La Conner comes to town this Friday for a doubleheader, with the boys tipping at 5 PM, followed by the girls at 6:45. JV games will run in reverse order in the middle school gym.

It will be the first action for either Wolf team since Dec. 17.

That day the CHS girls pounded South Whidbey to improve to 3-2, while the Wolf boys suffered a third-quarter short circuit and watched a close game slip from their grasp, dropping them to 0-5.

The photos above, courtesy John Fisken, should remind you what basketball looks like, if you’ve forgotten in the interim.
