Without having to resort to running season bests, the Coupeville High School girls’ track squad still cruised to two wins at a five-team meet in Port Townsend Thursday.
The Wolves strolled to victories in the 4 x 100 and 4 x 200, besting relay units from Olympic League rivals Klahowya and Port Townsend, as well as 2A Sequim and Canadian interloper Ketchikan.
Makana Stone added a victory in the 100, while Skyler Lawrence (shot put), Allison Wenzel (javelin) and Stone (400) claimed second-place finishes.
Overall, 14 Wolves combined to set 20 PR’s at the meet.
Lauren Grove, Delaney Armstrong, Naika Hallam, Jesse Hester, Kenny Johnson and Grey Rische led the way, each earning career bests in two events.
