First they cracked Granite. Then they swept ’em up.
Throwing down beat-downs on host Granite Falls, both of the Coupeville Middle School girls’ varsity basketball squads won handily Monday.
The 7th grade Wolves strolled to a 34-20 win, while the 8th grade team ran away with a 37-18 victory behind the play of Ema Smith and Lindsey Roberts.
Roberts tore up the Tiger defense, dropping a team-high 14 that included a flawless 8-of-8 performance at the charity stripe.
CMS will wrap its hoops season with a road game at Langley Thursday, Mar. 12. Tip-off is 3 PM.
