Claire Mietus spends a lot of her time helping others, but now she’s asking for a bit of help back.
The Coupeville High School sophomore is headed to cheer camp with her team this summer, and has started a GoFundMe page to help with expenses.
She’s trying to raise $400 before June.
When she’s not working the sidelines for the Wolves, Mietus is the president of Coupeville’s Leo Club, a high school community service organization affiliated with the Lion’s.
She also plays in the CHS jazz band and is a part of the school’s Science Olympiad team.
Mietus is working towards her goal of becoming a cardiovascular surgeon, and would love to one day join the service organization Doctors Without Borders.
