It’s a win-win.
Get your car washed, help fuel the most successful sports program in Central Whidbey.
The Coupeville High School girls’ basketball squad, which has won back-to-back 1A Olympic League titles (while never dropping a league game) is back at it Saturday, soap and scrub brush in hand.
The Wolves will be at Whidbey Island Bank on N. Main Street in Coupeville from 10 AM-2 PM, staring down any and all dirty vehicles.
Maybe not my science project of a ramblin’ wreck (there’s no hope for that one), but everything else is fair game.
But what if your car is already clean?
Not a problem, as they will be accepting donations as well.
Money raised will go to help pay for the Wolves to attend summer basketball camp.
With the CHS hoops program booming under the leadership of round-ball gurus David and Amy King, an all-time high of 19 girls are camp-bound this year.
