Bouncing back from a set down Wednesday, the Skagit Valley College women’s volleyball team rallied to knock off visiting Everett 22-25, 27-25, 25-20, 27-25.
One big key to the victory, which lifts the Cardinals to 12-9 on the season? The play of their sophomore sensation.

She also put her personal stamp on the win, getting a block to push SVC ahead 26-25 in the fourth set, before serving out the match.
On the season, Stuurmans has racked up 127 kills, 10 assists, 18 aces, 196 digs, 10 solo blocks, 25 block assists, and 167.5 points.
