Mia Farris scores with her bat, and with her camera.

The Coupeville High School supernova had the day off recently as Wolf softball crunched visiting La Conner, with several starters giving playing time to their back-ups.

Along with raising the roof in the dugout, Farris also picked up her photographic tool and added to her already-impressive collection of pics for the yearbook, as seen in the snaps above and below.

If the whole coaching thing doesn’t work out, Amy King can slide into being a photographer.

Of all the coaches at Coupeville High School, none so faithfully documents the behind the scenes adventures of her team like the Wolf girls’ assistant b-ball guru does.

The photos above, captured in the hours leading up to Monday’s playoff game, are just a small smidgen of her work.

Plus, a nice “blackmail” pic snapped by plucky Wolf senior Wynter Thorne, just to spice things up a bit.

Anyone can get action shots.

But being a team mom, and, more than that, the team mom that feeds everyone, Amy Briscoe gets behind the scenes access to the Coupeville High School girls’ basketball team.

The photos above are part of her collection of candid shots of the Wolves when they’re not on the court.

A slightly different take on the young women who wear the red and black on game nights.

Saturday was a good day for the red and black.

Coupeville High School won three of four basketball games against visiting Mount Vernon Christian (boys varsity, girls JV, boys JV) and almost pulled off the sweep, with the Wolf varsity girls falling by just a bucket.

The most impressive win might have come from the Coupeville JV girls, who held the Hurricanes scoreless for an entire half as they romped to a 25-6 win.

Behind the scenes, when she wasn’t watching the Seahawks playoff win on her phone, team mom Amy Briscoe snapped the pics above, which she was then kind enough to send our way.
