They always bring their best.

Whether competing on Whidbey or on the mainland, the Coupeville High School cheer squad continues to shine brightly.

Wednesday the Wolves were in Bothell, where they earned second place in the coed varsity division at the “Bring on the Reign” event.

The competition featured each team selecting a charity to represent as well, with CHS standing tall for the Joyful Heart Foundation.

That charity is “creating a more compassionate world that supports survivors of sexual assault, domestic violence, and child abuse on their path to justice and healing.”

Whether providing a spirit boost during wins or losses, the Coupeville High School cheer squad can always be counted on to do its job and do it with deep commitment.

They’re still rockin’ the joint.

Taking advantage of a home-heavy start to the basketball schedule, the Coupeville High School cheer squad has been busy in the early days of December, providing the backbeat to the Wolf hoops experience.

The gym sidelines will be full this winter.

Coupeville High School cheer coaches Jennifer Morrell and Tara Crouch have a robust roster for basketball season, with 21 Wolves (and two managers) ready to go.

Spirit team veterans Milana Light and Bella Karr will be the winter captains, with Abbigail Bond and Olivia Hall operating as co-captains.

First came the cheers, then the awards.

The Coupeville High School spirit team put an official stamp on the fall season Friday night, capping things with a banquet.

CHS coach Jennifer Morrell bestowed the Wolf Award to Bella Karr, the Spirit Award to Cora Fix, the Coach’s Award to Elle Peterson, and Most Improved to Hayden Smith.

Senior Abbigail Bond also received a Four-Year Award for being a vital part of the squad during her entire high school run.
