Well, the weather was nice.

While the score of Friday night’s boys soccer game between Coupeville and Port Angeles wan’t to the liking of the locals (a 6-0 Wolf loss), rain and wind mostly stayed away.

That made John Fisken’s job easier, and the wanderin’ paparazzi was able to snap away without too much time devoted to wiping off his camera lenses.

A month is a long time.

But that’s almost how much time will pass between home games this season for the Coupeville High School boys’ soccer squad.

A variety of things have affected the schedule, but the last time the Wolf booters stepped on their home pitch against a real live foe was Mar. 28, when they routed Forks.

The next time CHS will play at home?

April 23, when Chimacum comes to Whidbey for an Olympic League game.
