She’s filling up the stat sheet, day in and day out.

Coupeville grad Makana Stone continued her torrid play Sunday, but even her efforts couldn’t save the day against an overwhelming opponent.

The former Wolf poured in a team-high 18 points, to go with nine rebounds, two assists, three steals, and two blocks, but Baerum fell 72-56 to undefeated Ulriken in a Norwegian professional basketball game.

The win lifts Ulriken to 9-0, while Baerum (4-2) sits in second place in the seven-team Kvinneligaen.

Stone and Co. were playing for the first time in two weeks, but they put up a spirited battle against the league leaders.

Three other Baerum players reached double-digit scoring, with Abbey Hoff (13), Julie McCarthy (12), and Shiba Ahmadi (10) all making the nets sing.

Ulriken was paced by hot-shooting guard Aurora Sorbye, who torched the joint for a game-high 30 points.

Stone’s 18-point performance included a pair of three-balls, as the American assassin hit from inside, outside, and every which way.

Through her first six games in Norway, she has piled up 120 points, 74 rebounds, seven assists, 12 steals, and three blocked shots.

Baerum has back-to-back games up next on its schedule, playing Storm Ungdom (0-7) and Midtbyen (4-3) Nov. 26 and 27, respectively.

This is Stone’s second season of pro hoops, after she played in England last season.

She’s a machine, kicking out double-doubles.

Her skills honed on the rough-and-tumble basketball courts of her Coupeville youth, world traveler Makana Stone continues to wow the masses in Norway.

Her latest accomplishment was a 20-point, 13-rebound performance Saturday, sparking Baerum to a 63-42 win over Midtbyen.

The victory lifts Stone and her pro hoops squad to 4-1 on the season, placing them firmly in second place in the seven-team Kvinneligaen.

Baerum is off until Nov. 20, when it gets a rematch with league leader Ulriken, which sits at 7-0.

Saturday’s matchup with Midtbyen was decided by rebounding, where Stone and crew snatched the glass clean, amassing a 58-30 advantage in corralling caroms.

Fellow American Julie McCarthy knocked down 19 points and grabbed 24 rebounds, while Henriette Hofermann paced Midtbyen with a team-high 11 points.

Stone, now in her second season of professional basketball after playing in England last year, has piled up 102 points, 65 rebounds, five assists, and nine steals while wearing a Baerum uniform.

Hide the men and the children, Makana Stone is on a rampage.

Pouring in a season-high 33 points Saturday, the Coupeville grad powered her Norwegian pro hoops team to a convincing win.

With the 78-74 victory over Asker, Stone and her Baerum teammates get to 3-1 on the season, pushing themselves into sole possession of second place in the seven-team Kvinneligaen.

The former Wolf supernova had herself a day, going 14-19 from the field — including netting a three-ball — and a flawless 4-4 from the free-throw line.

Stone also snatched eight rebounds, pilfered two steals, and doled out two assists, while fellow American Abbey Hoff added 22 points and 14 points for Baerum.

Asker put four players into double-figures scoring, led by Taylor Bennett’s 20 points, but was unable to match Baerum’s potent one-two combo.

Stone, now in her second season of professional basketball after playing last year in England, has amassed 82 points, 52 rebounds, five assists, nine steals, and a blocked shot through her first four games in Norway.

Key to her performance has been her shooting touch, with the Coupeville Sports Hall o’ Famer currently singing the nets at 64.2% on her two-point attempts, having hit 34-53.

Baerum returns to action Saturday, Nov. 5 with a rumble against Midtbyen (2-2) before getting a Nov. 20 rematch with league leader Ulriken (5-0).

Despite 13 points and 12 rebounds from Stone in the season opener, Baerum lost the first meeting with Ulriken 66-43, but has bounced back to win three straight.

She’s on a rampage.

Coupeville grad Makana Stone unleashed her full fury Sunday, going off for a game-high 17 points and 24 rebounds as she led her Norwegian pro hoops team to its second-straight win.

Baerum bounced Storm Ungdom 55-36, lifting its record to 2-1 in the Kvinneligaen.

That puts Stone and Co. in a tie for second place in the seven-team league, trailing just Ulriken (4-0).

Baerum faces off with the other 2-1 squad, Asker, in its next game, which goes down Saturday, Oct. 29.

During the battle with Storm U., Stone almost outrebounded her opponent by herself, with Baerum holding a 48-29 advantage on the boards.

Fellow American Abbey Hoff added 15 points and seven rebounds in support of Coupeville’s supernova, and their squad held Storm U. to just 23.1% shooting from the floor.

Through three games in Norway, Stone has racked up 49 points, 44 rebounds, three assists, seven steals, and a blocked shot.

This is the second professional season for the former Wolf, who played in England last year.
