It’s stat reviewing time.

We’re four matches into the season for the Coupeville High School volleyball squads, with the numbers starting to shake out.

As you take a look at the kills, assists, and other stats racked up by the Wolf spikers, two things to keep in mind.

One, the numbers are for regular season clashes, and don’t include the varsity’s trip to the Yakima SunDome Invitational or the season-opening jamboree in Oak Harbor.

And two, while the numbers come from Wolf coaches, I did add them up, so let’s hope — for my sake, at least — that I got ’em right.

If not, I’m sure I’ll hear about it soon enough…

Anyways. On to the numbers.

Wolf sophomore Davin Houston scored his first touchdown of the season Saturday. (Bailey Thule photo)

Three games down, six left to play in the regular season.

Coming off a loss to Granite Falls Saturday, in a game where it played without several key players, the Coupeville High School football squad sits at 2-1 in non-conference play.

Up next for the 2B Wolves is a road trip to Kirkland this Saturday, Sept. 28 for a fourth-straight clash with a 1A school, with Cedar Park Christian-Bothell waiting at Juanita High School’s field.

After that, Coupeville gets two in a row, and three of its next four games, at home, starting with a Northwest 2B/1B League tilt with Friday Harbor for Homecoming.

While I don’t have defensive stats, I do have scoring numbers, and here’s where the Wolves currently sit:

Touchdowns:

Chase Anderson – 5
Marquette Cunningham – 2
Johnny Porter – 2
Davin Houston — 1
Jack Porter – 1

Conversions:

Anderson — 1
Liam Blas — 1
Cunningham – 1

PATs:

Anderson — 4

Points:

Jo. Porter — 12
Houston — 6
Ja. Porter – 6
Blas — 2

Two games in, two wins in the books.

Coming off a road victory at Klahowya Saturday, the Coupeville High School football team is a fairly flawless 2-0 and headed back home for a matchup with Granite Falls next weekend.

As the Wolves work on fine-tuning things, we stop to take a quick look at the stats we have, which cover how CHS has accounted for its 70 points.

You dare to run on Taylor Brotemarkle? Foolish one!! (Jackie Saia photo)

They put up some impressive numbers.

Over the course of 18 regular-season games, Coupeville High School softball players delivered at the plate and from the pitcher’s circle.

While the season is done, the numbers are forever.

A look at CHS softball stats, delivered to us by Wolf coach Kevin McGranahan:

Every at-bat, every pitch recorded for posterity.

Coupeville High School baseball coaches use Game Changer to record stats, which makes it easy for me to poach their numbers.

So, as the Wolves rest up during spring break, here’s a look at where stats sit through nine games.
