Tim Ursu, ever alert. (Brenn Sugatan photos)

The pregame warmups are their own show.

A big part of Friday Night Lights comes as fans begin to wander in, while football players and cheerleaders get limbered up and ready for the action ahead.

Catching the action at a recent home game was Coupeville High School student Brenn Sugatan, who delivers the pics seen above and below.

Fortified by snacky goodness and ready for a long night of cheering.

“What kind of shampoo you using? Cause dang, the mane is flowin’!”

Round and round they run.

“Simmer down, man. I’ll stand up when I’m ready.”

Before you throw down a beat-down, always remember to stretch.

How many bugs crawled into the helmets while the photo was snapped? Just asking.

The numbers keep piling up.

Week three of the high school football season brought a win to Coupeville, as the Wolves stomped visiting Sultan 30-13 Friday night.

Running wild over the Turks, the Wolves, now 2-1 heading into a trip to La Conner, added to their season totals on both sides of the ball.

From touchdowns, to tackles for loss, to fumble recoveries, CHS coaches plugged it all into MaxPreps, and then I came along to pluck the fruit which will get me sweet, sweet page hits.

So, here you go, some season-to-date stats to marinate in.
