Check out the big brain on Lucy Sandahl.
The Coupeville grad is capping her run as a senior coxswain with the Seattle Pacific University crew program, but still has time to hit the books.
Sandahl was one of 14 Falcons named Wednesday to the Great Northwest Athletic Conference All-Academic team.
Currently pulling a 3.21 GPA in Physiology, she’s the only one on her squad to be a three-time All-Academic team honoree.
Since freshmen are not eligible for the team, that means Sandahl made it every season she was able to.
“We are so proud to have 14 individuals make the GNAC All-Academic team,” SPU coach Caitlin McClain said in a statement.
“Our seniors and juniors with multiple years of recognition show how the sport and the people produce excellence on the water and in the classroom.”
Sandahl and the Falcons will be back on the water this weekend, competing at the GNAC Championships Saturday in Gold River, California.
