Eight is great.
Four Coupeville High School track and field athletes currently land in the top 10 among all 2B competitors in an event, with 75% of those Wolves sitting in the #8 slot.
Then there’s sophomore Wyatt Fitch-Marron, who smashed his PR in the high jump by four inches Saturday at the Cow Town Classic Invite, shooting him up to #3 in the state.
There are four meets left on the schedule, with the BCS Invitational at Lake Sammamish May 2 being the final regular season rumble before CHS begins the postseason push.
Where things sit statewide through April 27:
GIRLS:
Shot Put — Tamsin Ward (8th) 31-07
Pole Vault — Lillian Ketterling (8th) 8-03
BOYS:
High Jump — Wyatt Fitch-Marron (3rd) 6-02; Davin Houston (8th-tie) 5-10
