She throws big, she studies big.
Coupeville grad Taygin Jump, who is heading into her senior year at Plattsburgh State in New York, was named Tuesday to the Eastern Athletic Communications Association 2025-26 Academic Honor Roll.
It’s the second time the former Wolf has received the honor, which makes her a perfect 2-for-2, as you have to be a sophomore before you can earn the status, which is given to student/athletes who maintain a 3.4 cumulative GPA or higher.
Jump, who is majoring in Environmental Planning & Management, is a member of the Plattsburgh women’s track and field team, where she has competed in the shot put, hammer, javelin, discus, and weight throw for the Cardinals.
Before trekking off to the Big Apple, Aleksia and Khanor’s big sis played school and travel volleyball, while also being a track star for CHS.
