They’re on a first name basis with the net.

Seven Coupeville High School soccer players have netted a goal this season, with seniors having accounted for 13 of 21 scores.

There’s still plenty of time left for the scoring race to shift, with the Wolf varsity scheduled for at least three more games, and the JV down to clash with La Conner this week.

Keep the scoreboard hoppin’.

That’s the plan for the Coupeville High School football team, which has racked up 238 points across the first eight games of the season.

That comes out to 29.75 a night for a team which sits at 5-3 heading into its regular season finale at Friday Harbor on Halloween.

The Wolves have kept the chain gang busy this season.

Eight Wolves have scored a touchdown this season, with freshman Richmond Bandong joining the group this past Friday in a win over Winlock.

Gridiron giants shake the scoreboard

The Wolves can light up a scoreboard.

Seven games into the season, the Coupeville High School football team is averaging just a hair under 27 points a game.

Sitting at 4-3 heading into Senior Night this coming Friday, CHS gets a visit from non-conference foe Winlock, an 0-6 team which has surrendered 44 points a night.

That number would likely be even higher, but one of those losses is a 2-0 forfeit to Mossyrock.

For Coupeville, the scoring leader has been junior quarterback Chase Anderson, who tops the team even with having missed an early-season clash with Granite Falls thanks to an injury.

The end zone beckons to them

Six weeks in, and they’re still chasing Chase.

Despite sitting out one game with an injury, Coupeville High School QB Chase Anderson is atop the scoring chart for a 4-2 Wolf team.

The junior gunslinger has crossed the goal line nine times, with senior Jack Porter and sophomore Davin Houston currently in a tie for second place honors.

Coupeville is off to Adna this coming Friday, Oct. 18, then returns home to host Winlock the next week, before wrapping the regular season on the road at Friday Harbor on Halloween.

The goal chase begins anew.

Coupeville High School soccer returns to action this Friday, Oct. 11, with a road trip to Cedar Park Christian-Lynnwood to kick off conference play.

The clash will be the first for the Wolves in 10 days and offers a chance for the team to add to its season scoring totals.
