You don’t have to be the most interesting man in the world to recognize the advantage of having solid outerwear as we plow through the winter months.
With that in mind, the Coupeville School District is hosting its second annual Winter Wear Event this Wednesday, Dec. 14.
The event, which offers free gear for kids in the community, runs from 1:30-4:30 PM at the district office.
Now, getting your 3rd grader to actually wear their coat while going out to recess, that’s a whole different story…

Winter cheer is coming.
High School basketball season starts Monday, when Coupeville players hit the floor for their first practices.
While Wolf ballers will just be getting started, their cheer counterparts are already working towards a new season, leaving the gridiron sidelines behind for the warmth of the gym.
First-year CHS coach BreAnna Boon has a 13-woman roster with which to work, with 11 of those Wolves returning from football season.
“We are a small but mighty squad!,” Boon said. “Great things are coming … be prepared to be amazed!”

The venue may be changing, but the attitude is not.
As Coupeville High School cheerleaders depart the football field and head inside for basketball season, one thing will remain consistent — their larger-than-life school spirit.
Wolf coaches Emily Stevens and Amanda Jones are currently working with a roster which goes 12 deep, though that may change.
For the moment, this is who looks like they will be in uniform for Coupeville when hoops action tips off at the end of the month:
