The Wolves are on the hunt in Bellingham.

A team volleyball camp at Western Washington University drew a pack of CHS players, and several moms showed up to snap photos of their daughters at play.

With apologies to anyone who might have wandered off and not shown up in the team photo, at least 12 Wolves made the trek.

Incoming freshmen Emma Smith, Maddy Hilkey, Ashley Menges and Sarah Wright joined returning players Katrina McGranahan, Kenzi LaRue, Valen Trujillo, Kyla Briscoe, Allison Wenzel, McKenzie Bailey, Maggie Crimmins and Tiffany Briscoe.

Tis the season for camping.

The latest to embark on a summer odyssey in pursuit of fine-tuning their skills?

Members of the CHS volleyball squad, who took part in a recent camp run by Western Washington University coaches and players and held at Oak Harbor High School.

Valen Trujillo, Lauren Rose, Maddy Hilkey, Emma Smith and Kayla Rose were joined on the adventure by middle school spikers Zoe Trujillo, Scout Smith, Hannah Davidson and Natalie Hollrigel.

imageTime to step up to the line, CHS volleyball fans.

The Wolves are currently seeking pledges and donations for a Serve-A-Thon fundraiser they will be holding May 21.

The event will raise money to send the team to the Western Washington University summer camp.

All the pertinent info is including in the second photo above, so I’m not going to make you read it twice.

To help, go find a spiker, someone like Tiffany Briscoe or McKenzie Bailey or Sydney Autio (I’m pulling names up randomly, not playing favorites…) or contact Coupeville coach Breanne Smedley at (360) 635-2381.
