Score one for the public schools.

The Coupeville High School girls’ tennis team rolled into Seattle Saturday and captured a hard-fought 3-2 win over the University Prep JV squad, sending a shot across the bows of ritzy private schools everywhere.

With the non-conference victory, the Wolves get to 4-3 on the season and finally get to think about heading home for a match.

CHS hosts Friday Harbor Wednesday in the third of their four Northwest 2B/1B League showdowns, the first time the Wolves have hosted a match since April 3.
