The push for 1,500 is on.

Heading into a four-pack of home games Friday night against La Conner, Coupeville High School basketball players have combined to rattle the rim for 1,461 points this season.

Chase Anderson is the front-runner and has a substantial lead on every other Wolf, but there’s still half a season left to play.

Let the buckets keep coming and the point totals keep climbing.

Chase Anderson is your front runner, but as the calendar prepares to flip, there’s still more than half the season left to play.

Putting the ball in the hoop is the name of the game.

Strong defense sets you up to win, but you still have to score more points than the other team.

Plus, scoring is the easiest stat to track, which is why you so rarely see an article devoted to say, the leaders at taking charges.

So, as we head towards the final games of 2024, which will come this weekend in Eastern Washington for the Coupeville High School varsity hoops teams, a look at season-to-date scoring stats for all the Wolves.

Coupeville High School basketball players have combined to score 551 points across the first 14 games.

While there are early leaders, no one is running away with a scoring title just yet.

On to this weekend, with four home games against Orcas Island Friday, and four more against Morton-White Pass Saturday.

The nets keep poppin’, and the scorekeepers keep recordin’.
