When you support the Coupeville Booster Club, you support Wolf athletes like these young women. (Caroline Summers photo)

We’re under a month to the year’s biggest shindig, and tickets are going fast.

But they are still available, if you act now.

The event in question is the Coupeville Booster Club’s annual dinner and auction extravaganza, which is set for Saturday, Nov. 8.

All the info you need can be found in this photo:

And why support the Booster Club? Well, as I wrote once or twice before:

The boosters are the backbone of Wolf sports, making life easier for coaches, athletes, and admins.

The group annually awards eight $1,000 scholarships to graduating seniors, while also providing a yearly stipend to high school and middle school sports programs.

The boosters also provide roses for Senior Night festivities, varsity letters for Wolf athletes, meal money and goodie bags for road trips, and numerous team improvement items.

These have ranged from literature and DVDs to tarps, weight room equipment, batting cages, upgrades to school athletic fields and facilities, and t-shirts for cancer awareness nights.

Plus, the Wall of Fame in the CHS gym, which documents accomplishments from 100+ years of Coupeville athletics?

It wouldn’t exist without the support of the boosters, who provided the biggest financial contribution to its development, and continue to handle updates.

Your money can help put Dominic Coffman in the spotlight.

The Coupeville High School senior was selected to play in the Earl Barden Classic — the All-State football game for players from 2A, 1A, 2B, and 1B schools.

The game is set for Saturday, June 24 in Yakima.

But first Coffman, like all players in the game, needs to sell tickets to the event.

Whether you plan on making the trek to Yakima or just want to help support the Wolf three-sport athlete, you can nab a ticket for $10.

You can also make a donation, if that’s your preference.

To obtain tickets and support Coupeville’s gridiron standout, text Coffman at (360) 969-3227 or email him at Coffmandominc@gmail.com.

The selection to the All-State game is a rare honor, with only three other Wolves getting the call in the last two decades — Mike Bagby (2006), Josh Bayne (2015), and Ryan Labrador (2019).

Coffman was the Offensive MVP of the Northwest 2B/1B League this fall, and a First-Team All-League pick on defense for his work at linebacker.

He scored a team-high 14 touchdowns while picking up most of his rushing yards after first contact, helping the Wolves finish 7-2.

CHS football won its first league title since 1990, and advanced to the state playoffs for the first time in 32 years.

Dig in deeper to that wallet.

The further the Coupeville High School boys basketball team goes this postseason, the more expensive it will get for Wolf fans.

An adult ticket to the district title game was $7.00, but one to this Friday’s state tourney opener against Kalama at Battle Ground High School runs $15.00

The next week, Coupeville travels to the Spokane Arena, where it will play the remainder of the big dance.

The Wolves could play between 1-4 games between Mar. 2-5.

Tickets in Spokane are also $15 a day – or you can nab a deal if you purchase a four-day pass ($50) or three-day pass ($38).

Those multi-day passes have to be purchased by Mar. 2 and 3, respectively, and there’s no refunds if your team gets knocked out before Mar. 5.

How you can buy your tickets also varies.

For the Kalama game, you have one option — purchasing tickets online through GoFan — with no paper tickets sold at the door.

Once you’re in Spokane, GoFan is still in use, but the option to buy in person will also be available.

Want to see Xavier Murdy and Co. play live Saturday on Orcas Island? You have some work to do. (Photo by JohnsPhotos.net)

First come, first served — and you have to buy your ticket in advance.

When the Coupeville High School basketball teams travel to Orcas Island Saturday, seating will be restricted to 50 road fans.

Wolf fans interested in attending also need to pre-purchase their tickets online, and when 50 tickets are sold, the event will appear as “sold out.”

Tickets go on sale Thursday.

When you arrive at the gym Saturday, your digital ticket will be scanned. No cash will be accepted.

Orcas High School will pay the $1 service fee for each transaction, but fans will have to pay a 2.9% card processing fee in addition to the normal entrance fee.

This affects ONLY the games at Orcas Saturday, and not games when the Vikings travel to Whidbey to play Coupeville.

To buy tickets, go to https://orcasvikings.com/ and click on “tickets” in the top right corner of the page.
