Let the tributes pour in.
Three Coupeville High School fall sports teams have Senior Night events slated for this coming week, though one doesn’t actually have any 12th graders on its roster.
Wolf volleyball and boys’ soccer will each acknowledge three players Tuesday, before playing Friday Harbor and Orcas Island, respectively.
Meanwhile, CHS girls’ soccer, which has a roster full of young’uns, hosts Friday Harbor on Thursday, and there has been talk the booters are reaching out to local senior citizens to take the place of their non-existent senior players.
A fourth Coupeville team, cross country, which has already held its Senior Night festivities, travels to University Prep Saturday for the district meet, putting a wrap on things.
Maybe.
Boys’ soccer could also end up hosting a tie-breaker game Thursday, and the booters may open district play Saturday, depending on where they finish in the final standings.
