A small fraction of Payton Aparicio’s fan club on Senior Night.

Big poppa Mitch Aparicio is the president of said fan club.

The multi-talented Lauren Rose – volleyball setter by day, baby whisperer by night.

So close. Seven of Coupeville’s eight seniors stop shredding foes long enough to take a group pic.

Hard-hitting Mikayla Elfrank discovers she’s trending on Twitter (hashtag #TheEnforcer), while Jordan Ford ponders life as a couch.

Aleshia McFadyen schmoozes with one of the 3,000 babies in attendance at Coupeville’s volleyball match.

The bright future of Wolf volleyball.

Too many pics.

Hey now, that’s not a bad thing at all, but when you set John Fisken and a bag of cameras to work, the man keeps the shutter poppin’.

While I didn’t have room enough to run everything from Wednesday’s CHS volleyball Senior Night that night, I’m starting to catch up.

The eight photos seen above, a medley of off-court moments, are but the tip of the iceberg.

To see everything Fisken snapped (and possibly purchase some, thereby helping fund scholarships for Wolf student/athletes), pop over to:

The end comes for everyone.

There’s still a ton of volleyball to play — a road match at Port Townsend Saturday and then a postseason run starting at districts Nov. 4 in Tacoma — but Wednesday night was the final home court appearance for the Magnificent Seven (plus one).

Coupeville’s incredibly deep senior class, comprised of seven spikers and one faithful manager, were honored after the Wolves routed Klahowya and John Fisken was there to capture it on film.

The photos above are courtesy him.

When you do, remember, purchases help fund college scholarships for CHS student/athletes, while also enticing Fisken to come back to Cow Town more often.

Local photo whiz kid John Fisken honors his late mom and sister on Dig for the Cure night by letting Wolf spikers turn his silver locks pink.

Zoe Trujillo unleashes The Crippler.

Wolf starters, ready to unleash total freakin’ destruction.

No volleyball shall escape Jaimee Masters.

Healthy again after losing a season to injury, Kyla Briscoe is quite happily putting up big numbers on the stat sheet.

Katrina McGranahan sparks the offense with a picture-perfect bump.

You can’t return Lucy Sandahl’s serves. You can try, maybe, but just know you’ve already lost.

The gym was alive with sound Thursday night.

The sound of Coupeville High School spikers pounding on another hapless foe, sweeping to straight-sets wins in both varsity and JV action.

The sound of silence, as those gathered paused to reflect on the fight against breast cancer.

And the sound of a camera clicking away.

The shutterbug was John Fisken, and the photos above are courtesy him.

When you do, remember that purchases help fund college scholarships for CHS student/athletes, while also encouraging Fisken to return to Cow Town.

Susan Rose has a hug for one of her two favorite daughters.

Is everyone around here hugging or what?

The most successful sports team at Coupeville High School this fall hits the open road.

Luke Carlson, student by day, flying monkey by night.

Some have crowns, but all are Coupeville royalty.

Homecoming King Hunter Smith and Queen Payton Aparicio marinate in the moment.

And then a flex-off broke out.

Harris Sinclair wails away while waiting for the parade to start.

You don’t need to be a wizard to see the whole gang’s here.

Everyone loves a parade, even Mother Nature.

The morning rain evaporated and blue skies dawned Friday afternoon in time for Coupeville High School’s annual Homecoming Parade to go off without a hitch … or 1,001 umbrellas.

Thankful he didn’t need to keep wiping off his lens, wanderin’ photo man John Fisken worked the route, capturing the pics above for us.

“Let me go, woman! I’m a superhero and superheroes need to fly!!”

Susan Rose lays down the snack smack. “If you expected some popcorn, you should have bought your own bag!”

Emma Smith walks the line.

Having arrived from their game, Coupeville soccer players debate the best cheers to unleash.

National treasure Sylvia Arnold (center) holds court.

Jacob Zettle goes for the forearm burn.

Call the cops, cause Chris Battaglia (bottom, right) just stole the spotlight.

It’s a photo blowout.

Thanks to the madly-clicking John Fisken, we have an assortment of off-the-court pics from recent CHS volleyball matches just waiting to be used.

So here you go — not much reading, but a whole lot of glossy photo goodness.
